When Breaking is the Bravest Thing

It’s been quiet around here lately. Truth is, I’ve been hiding out.
Grief has a way of pulling you into the shadows, and after losing Maxie Claire, that’s where I’ve been—tucked away, trying to breathe through the ache. Sometimes silence is survival. Sometimes stepping back is the only way forward.
For a while, I felt guilty for not showing up here, not posting, not creating. But here’s what I’m slowly learning: it’s okay to break when you need a break.
We live in a world that glorifies “pushing through.” Do more. Be more. Keep going no matter what. But God never asked us to run ourselves into the ground. He reminds us that even Jesus wept. Even He pulled away to rest.
Grief is not weakness. Rest is not laziness. Pausing is not failure.
Sometimes the holiest, strongest thing you can do is step back, fall apart, and let God hold you together again in His time.
So if you’ve been hiding out too… if you’ve been quiet, heavy, or weary… let this be your permission slip: it’s okay. You’re allowed to stop. You’re allowed to heal. You’re allowed to begin again when you’re ready.
I’m here now, beginning again. And maybe today, you can too. 💜
